Leading keynotes for MIPIM 2008

Hans Timmer (The World Bank) will lead the opening keynote on 11 March, judging whether real estate acts as a stabiliser or a destabiliser. Other 2008 keynotes include Dr. Holger Schmieding (Bank of America) on Germany, Winy Maas (MVRDV) on architecture and Ramsey Mankarious (Cedar Capital Partners Ltd.) on hotel investment.

Finding achievable green solutions

Environmental awareness is increasingly becoming a priority for the industry. On 12 March, a special Green Day will highlight key topics, from climate change to sustainability issues. The first session of the day will see Paul Dickinson (CEO – Carbon Disclosure Project, UK) present the role of cities in managing greenhouse gas emissions.


	Meet top "Central European Mayors" This special session on 12 March will hear 4 leaders from key Central European cities share their knowledge to help cities achieve success: Pavel Bem (Lord Mayor of Prague - Czech Republic), Gabor Demszky (Mayor of Budapest - Hungary), Andrej Durkovsky (Mayor of Bratislava - Slovakia) and Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz (Mayor of Warsaw - Poland).
